Kellie Martin is she is an American actress and film director best known as Christy Huddleston on the period drama "Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the family drama Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Kellie Martin is best known for her performance as the main character in her role in the Hailey Dean Mystery Series. Martin began her acting career when she was seven. She was a niece of her aunt who was the nanny for Michael Landon's kids, assisted her in landing one small part on the 1982 TV series Father Murphy. Her professional career began following her graduation from Yale University. This led to her landing a variety of roles both in the television and film industries. Martin is, in addition to acting, she is also a skilled photographer and dancer. Since she is a mother of two children, she has become the National spokesperson for Lupus. She has also promoted awareness of Lupus since the time her younger sister died from the illness at age 19.
